Recent figures published from SNEP, a French trade body for recorded music, show that Artists only get an 11% share of total pay-outs from streaming services such as Spotify and Deezer; or €0.68 for every €9.99 subscription charge. Should Artists be getting more?

An online petition has appeared with the goal to “Shut down the Swedish retro metal band Ghost” for not being a true metal band. Does this campaign have any serious claim and how serious should it be taken?

The biggest Rock and Metal festival in the UK is back once again for 2014 with another mighty line up. Attending the festival for past two years, I am sad and a little surprised that I won’t be going this year (Although I am attending the return of the UK Sonisphere festival, but more on that closer to the time.) So instead I’m here recommend who I would see over the weekend in the hopes that others won’t miss out like I will.

We love our music, and we love to let everyone know about it. And we know this will never stop, never fade out and never die. Whether it be through talking to our peers, sharing youtube videos or posting and reading blogs; We will always want our voice to be heard so maybe we can share our passion and inspire a new follower to our Rock ‘n’ Roll Religion.
